    Insider Brief

    • Husqvarna Group received conditional FCC approval for four foreign-manufactured robotic lawn mower platforms planned for the U.S. market.
    • The approval covers the Automower 305V iQ, 310V iQ, 420V iQ and 440V iQ, which are expected to launch in the U.S. in 2027 and are exempt from the FCC Covered List.
    • Husqvarna said it is the first robotics company to receive such conditional approval, while the U.S. accounted for 24% of group net sales in 2025 and the company already serves more than 500 golf courses with professional robotic mowing systems.

Husqvarna Group has received conditional approval from the U.S. Federal Communications Commission for four foreign-manufactured robotic lawn mower platforms planned for the U.S. market.

The FCC’s Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau issued the approval Sept. 9 for the Husqvarna Automower 305V iQ, 310V iQ, 420V iQ and 440V iQ, according to the FCC.

According to the Swedish company, it is the first robotics company to receive conditional approval for foreign-produced advanced robotic devices following the FCC’s August 2026 addition of certain communications equipment and services to its Covered List.

The approval means the four mower platforms, expected to launch in the U.S. in 2027, as well as previously approved models already on the market, are exempt from the Covered List. U.S. sales accounted for 24% of Husqvarna Group’s total net sales in 2025, according to the company.

“This validates that Husqvarna Group is setting the standard for trusted robotic mowing, and reflects our rigorous standards for quality, security, and how we manage customer data following strict EU consumer privacy rules,” CEO Glen Instone said. “The U.S. is a strategically important market for robotic lawn mowers, where we are already serving more than 500 golf courses with our professional robotic mowing solutions, and with limited residential penetration so far, we see significant growth potential in the years ahead.”
