    Insider Brief

    • Antioch raised $32 million in Series A funding led by Greylock to expand its simulation platform for robotics and autonomous systems.
    • The company said its platform calibrates high-fidelity simulations to customer hardware and runs them at cloud scale, allowing physical AI teams to build, test and validate systems before real-world deployment.
    • Antioch said the funding will support product development, engineering hiring and deeper simulation capabilities across robotics, drones, industrial automation, fixed perception and other physical AI applications.

Antioch has raised $32 million in Series A funding led by Greylock to expand its simulation platform for robotics and autonomous systems.

A*, Category Ventures, Box Group and Icehouse Ventures also participated in the round. Angel investors include Palantir CTO Shyam Sankar, Foxglove CEO Adrian Macneil and Nvidia executive Ian Andrews, a former Groq executive, according to the Antioch.

The company noted that changes to robots, autonomous systems and industrial machines often must be tested on physical equipment, tests that require hardware, engineering resources and time. Plus, existing simulation platforms can be limited by fidelity and scale.

Antioch said its platform is designed to give physical AI teams a development loop for building, testing and validating autonomous systems before real-world deployment. The company calibrates simulations to customers’ hardware and runs them at cloud scale, allowing teams to expand test coverage before moving systems into production..

“AI has transformed the pace and possibilities of software development in the blink of an eye,” co-founder Harry Mellsop said in the announcement. “Now, physical AI is extending that same transformation into the real-world. Bringing these systems into reality requires a new approach to testing, powered by high-fidelity simulations that enable faster, safer, and more reliable deployment.”

Antioch indicated it is already working with physical AI teams including Amazon’s Ring and has partnerships with Nvidia and cloud provider Nebius.

The company, which raised $8.5 million in seed funding earlier this year, said the funding will be used to accelerate product development, expand its engineering team and deepen its simulation capabilities across robotics, drones, industrial automation, fixed perception and other physical AI applications.
